Dear Journal,
As I type this, I sit not in my comfortable, well-furnished lair, but in the squalid pallor of the dormitories at my university.

And, as the title so implies, I am in a public area, one that gives me greater access to computers, but with the caveat of riff-raff dancing and singing.

No, really. They brought speakers from their dorm so they could listen and plug them into the computer. Now they stopped. Now they're dancing to some awful noise. One of them just started clapping out the rhythm. I could only wish that I was kidding.

Ludicrous.

However, I have to keep a modicum of normal life in order to dodge the ever-watchful eye of the Forces of Justice. I learned that lesson when Shi-No Tachi was sent by A.N.V.I.L. to capture me.

But, my fears assuaged, my would-be captor captured, and laboratory in staid condition, the only thing I need worry about now is completing a thesis that does not attract the attention of P.A.T.R.I.O.T. - apparently a report on "the effects of cloning wooly mammoths for use as war machines" does not go well with the press.
